Yoga Nidra, also called Yogic Sleep or Psychic Sleep, is a guided meditation that allows our body to fully relax while our mind enters a state of calm awareness. It can help to reduce stress, improve sleep, and restore energy on a profound level.
During the practice of Yoga Nidra, we appear to be asleep, yet we are not sleeping - consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness.
Yoga Nidra is mainly practiced as a meditation where deep relaxation is the by-product. It's a very powerful technique in which we learn to relax consciously.
We withdraw the senses so that the mind and the mental awareness are dissociated from the sensory channels and turned deeply inwards.
In Yoga Nidra, the door between the conscious and subconscious mind remains open and our awareness keeps moving between the two.
Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation while maintaining complete awareness.
The Sound Journey uses crystal singing bowls and other instruments to create tones and sounds that soothe the nervous system, release tension, and bring balance to the mind and body.
It is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience with various health benefits. This therapeutic and restorative process can nurture the mind, soothe emotions and stimulate the body in powerful and positive ways, essentially being bathed in the vibrations and frequencies of sound.
Together, these two practices invite us in to deep rest, refined clarity, and greater access to inner harmony.
No experience is needed.
Bring a Yoga mat, a blanket, dress in comfortable layers, wear sock, and arrive with a curious mind and with an open heart.
All are welcome.
